Etude Classique are the Official Robemakers for AUT, and the only officially recognised manufacturer of regalia for AUT. The gown is in the traditional Cambridge style and made in a 100% easy-care polyester which is very resistant to crushing. The back yoke and tops of the sleeves are tightly machine-pleated and there are tapes hanging down the inside to help secure the gown and hold it in place. It hangs to mid-calf length. The hood design is a custom adaptation of the Oxford Simple shape, with a black cloth outer, bone satin lining and an edge trim depicting the subject of the qualification. The illustration is for a Bachelor of Health Science. The neckband is in a bone-coloured satin, in a gracefully curved shape. The trencher is a traditional black rigid trencher ("mortar board") with black covered button and black tassel. The head-piece is a stiffened felt and the top is covered with wool felt.
When selecting the size, you should measure horizontally around the head about 1" (25mm) above the ears, making sure the tape measure doesn't go over the ears.
